KLIA and KLIA2 Car Rental, Kuala Lumpur
We hand cars over at the arrivals kerb at both terminals for RM70 per way — free once your rental reaches 7 days. Or take the KLIA Ekspres to KL Sentral and collect free at our branch there.
How the airport handover works
There is no counter at KLIA. We meet you at the arrivals kerb of your terminal with the car, which means no shuttle bus to an off-site depot and no queue behind twenty other arrivals. It also means timing matters, so we track your flight rather than relying on your scheduled time.
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are both RM70 per way. Because the fee is per leg, a two-day rental with an airport delivery and an airport return costs RM140 in delivery; a 7-day rental pays nothing for either, and also picks up the 10% weekly discount. For most airport customers that makes a week cheaper in total than four days.
Step by step, from booking to driving away
Before you fly
Book from any car page and send us your flight number on WhatsApp. We confirm the car, the all-in price and the handover terminal in writing, and take payment before the rental starts.
While you are in the air
We track your flight. If it lands early or late we adjust, at no charge — you do not need to message us from the plane.
After you clear immigration
Collect your bags, clear customs, then message us. We reply with the exact meeting point at your terminal's arrivals kerb.
At the car
Bring your passport and licence, plus an International Driving Permit if your licence is not in English or Bahasa Malaysia. We photograph the car's condition with you, confirm the fuel or charge level, hand over the keys and you are away — usually in under ten minutes.
On the way out
Both terminals feed straight onto the ELITE and the North–South Expressway. Have a Touch 'n Go card or an active RFID tag for the tolls; the car comes with a Touch 'n Go reader fitted.
Returning the car to KLIA
- Allow an extra 45 minutes on top of your normal drive time — the airport approach and the terminal drop-off bays are slow at peak.
- Refuel or recharge to the level you were given, and keep the receipt. Topping up near the airport on the ELITE is cheaper than the terminal stations.
- Message us when you are 20 minutes out so we are waiting at the bay rather than you waiting for us.
- Clear the car of rubbish and check under the seats. A smoke odour carries a RM200 penalty, and recovering a forgotten passport after you have checked in is not something anyone enjoys.
- Departures between 12:00am and 6:30am carry a RM50 surcharge per leg, so if you are on a 2am flight tell us when you book.
Which cars suit airport trips
Boot space decides this more than anything else. Two people with cabin bags are fine in anything, but a family of four with checked luggage needs a proper boot: the Bezza X has 508 litres and the Vios E 506, which is why they are our two most booked airport cars. For five or more passengers, the Serena S-Hybrid (503 litres behind eight seats) and the Staria Lite (831 litres behind ten) are the practical answers.
If you are collecting clients or family, the Alphard and Vellfire are the standard choice for KLIA meet-and-greet work, and the electric Denza D9 and Zeekr 009 do the same job in silence. Whatever you choose, the car is handed over fuelled or charged and valeted.
KLIA car rental FAQ
How much does KLIA car rental delivery cost?
KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are both RM70 per way, and delivery is free on rentals of 7 days or more. Fees are per leg, so an airport delivery and an airport return on a short rental is RM140.
Where do we meet at the airport?
At the arrivals hall of your terminal. Send us your flight number when you book and we will track the landing time, then message you the exact meeting point — usually by the kerbside pick-up bays.
Is it cheaper to collect at KL Sentral instead?
For one or two people, often yes. The KLIA Ekspres takes 28 minutes from Terminal 1 to KL Sentral, where self pick-up at our branch is free. On rentals of 7 days or more, airport delivery is free and collecting at KLIA is the easier option.
What if my flight is delayed?
Tell us the flight number and we track it. There is no charge for a delay we can see on the board. Handovers between 12:00am and 6:30am carry a RM50 surcharge per leg.
